~ Raw ~

This page should properly be called raw and no-bake, because not everything on it is raw by the strictest interpretations of the word.  But I’m putting my no-bake goodies here too, because it’s so useful for those of us living in hot climates to have a go-to page of Things I Can Make For Dinner (or to take to work) That Don’t Require Me To Switch On The Stove.  Or the oven, for that matter.

Seriously, for all Melbourne’s vaunted cold weather, I spend at least two months of every year searching desperately for ways to have something marginally healthy for dinner without heating up the house.

So perhaps this page should really be called Cold Food.  But that sounds sort of sad, really, and actually, there isn’t a lot of ice cream on this page.  In fact, there isn’t any.

I feel like I’m doing a terrible job of selling this page.  Which is sad, because some of my absolutely favourite recipes can be found here.  So consider this your go-to page for little balls of fruit and nuts, for tofu-based chocolate mousse tarts, for salads, and for anything that involves spiralising a vegetable.

Oh dear, and I just thought of this line, and now I absolutely have to share it with you, so I apologise in advance (but not very much): This page is here to show you that if you can’t stand the heat, you don’t have to get out of the kitchen!
